I had the honor and priviledge of photographing a family get-together on my friend’s family farm near Hot Springs Montana in early August. The group included 2-month old identical twins Brooke and Mackenzie and their 2-year old sister Zoey, along with 92-year old great grandfather Ray Jorgenson and a few brothers and sisters and moms and dads.

Ray bought the farm in 1936 from his dad who homesteaded the land in 1910. Knowing how much the family farm is loved (as is Ray), I wanted to photograph the various family members who don’t live near one another and don’t often get a chance to come together, to have as a remembrance. Maybe next time we can get the rest of the family from Seattle and Kansas to join us for another session, now that these folks are a little more comfortable being in front of the camera and have seen the results. The following are just a few images from that experience.
