Splendid, majestic, almost as if someone had set up the scene for photographers, complete with sky filled with billowing clouds and exquisite light. Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia, Canada is about a 45 minute drive from Halifax, and a photographer’s (this photographer’s) dream location.
Saturated colors, wooden boats, craggy granite rock formations, lighthouse perched on the edge of the rocks, oh my. I didn’t have a lot of time to spend there, but relished and took advantage of the time I did have to photograph wooden boats set against beautiful natural backdrops and rock formations set against a dramatic sky.
The splendor continued with steamed lobster waiting for us down the road at Ryer’s Retail Lobsters; the walls at this ‘restaurant’ were ocean-filled views. If you find yourself in the maritimes on Canada’s eastern coast, a visit to Peggy’s Cove is visual grandeur.

So picturesque! Your photos took me back there for a minute!
Took you back there for “a minute”? Maybe we’ll need to do something about that, such as a print or cards…:)
