No flower girls, no ring bearer, no bridesmaids or groomsmen. No wedding theme or expensive wedding dress, no expensive hall or DJ or band or videographer. No elaborate flower arrangements needed: bouquets of sunflowers and red roses from Safeway were beautifully arranged in vases and elegantly placed around the area where the ceremony was held. What there was: an intimate crowd of cherished friends and family, gathered to witness the commitment of two people to each other.
Joined together in marriage by the next-door neighbor (a judge), the ceremony was a short and very sweet exchange of vows. Oh, and there was the food too: wonderful and plentiful appetizers and drinks, and 7 types of mini cupcakes to enjoy. No traditional wedding cake needed!
All that was needed for the perfect wedding: the presence and love and support of family and friends, and of course, the love between two people: Steve & Marianne. Congratulations!
