Cleveland and ‘elegance’ in the same sentence? A centerpiece of art is two guitars? I hadn’t been to the Terminal Tower (now called Tower City Center) since a kid and was glad to find my memories still reflected by what I found during my visit: gleaming brass finish on escalators taking you down to the ‘wishing fountain’ where I remember throwing in pennies, and also leading to rapid transit lines that reach out into the suburbs. Elegant marble staircases, inlaid flooring, murals from a different time, exquisite ceilings and fixtures. A gem in a city not well-known for its jewels.
